Privacy Policy

In short: Relic works entirely on your phone. Your photos never leave your device, we don't have accounts, and the app contains no analytics, ads or tracking.

The Relic app

Relic scans printed photos with your phone's camera. All detection, cropping and straightening happens on your device. The app does not connect to the internet and does not send any data to us or to anyone else.

The app asks for these permissions, and uses them only for the purposes below:

• Camera: to see and capture your printed photos. Camera frames are processed in memory and are not stored or sent anywhere.
• Photos / media library: to save your scans to your device's gallery and to show them in the app.
• Motion sensors: to capture only when the phone is held steady. This data is used on the spot and is not stored.
• Vibration: for a short buzz when a photo is captured.

Your scanned photos and app settings are stored on your device. You can delete them at any time in the app, in your gallery, or by uninstalling Relic. If you choose to share a photo, it goes to whichever app you pick, and that app's privacy policy applies.

This website

If you sign up for early access, we store your email address, the date you signed up and your approximate country (from your network connection). We use your email only to tell you about Relic's launch and major updates. We don't sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site. We don't use cookies or analytics.

Children

Relic does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
